Harbour upset Kaikorai 36-15 at Bishopscourt to seal a spot in the Dunedin division 1 semifinals.
But Kaikorai have not been eliminated. They go through as the lucky loser.
They have a tough assignment, though.
They will have to play competition front-runner Taieri, who edged Green Island 24-14 at Miller Johnstone Park to confirm a home venue for the semifinal.
University secured the other spot. They beat Southern 29-28 in a thriller at Bathgate Park.They had led 21-7 at halftime but Southern stormed back into the lead.
But Rico Muliaina landed a late penalty to clinch the game for the students and a home semifinal against Harbour, who really impressed.
The Hawks forward pack took control of the game and they never let Kaikorai play their brand of expansive rugby.
