Old Boys are back on top of North Otago rugby.
The Oamaru club won a tight battle in this afternoon's premier final, beating Valley 20-13 to reclaim the Citizens Shield a year after being pipped by Maheno in extra time.
Valley scored an early try but Old Boys hit back to lead 15-7 at halftime.
There were few clear scoring opportunities in a tense second half but Old Boys scored the crucial try with four minutes to play, and held off a valiant Valley side in the dying stages.
