North Otago held on for a 30-22 win over Thames Valley in the Heartland Championship game in Oamaru today.
The Old Golds made a strong start, jumping to a 16-0 lead, but struggled to find their rhythm for much of the game.
North Otago showed plenty of determination in the final 10 minutes when they were down to 14 men with a man in the bin.
Their next game is against Horowhenua-Kapiti at Forsyth Barr Stadium next Saturday.
