Getting stuck in

Highlanders pre-season training at Logan Park yesterday started with the players picking up branches and leaves scattered across the field by Monday’s strong winds.

The team returned to training on Monday following its Christmas break. It spent the majority of December together focusing on conditioning, although the season is quickly approaching.

The Highlanders play their first pre-season match against the Waratahs in Sydney on Friday week. The Super Rugby season begins on January 31, although the Highlanders have a bye in the first round.
