The Highlanders have a clean bill of health going into the crunch part of the season.

All Black coach Steve Hansen said yesterday Liam Squire, who missed the test on Saturday night because of a shoulder injury, should be fine.

Other franchises are not so lucky.Ardie Savea suffered a high ankle sprain in the game and is out for three to four weeks. Sonny Bill Williams damaged his left shoulder and will be out for two to three weeks.

All Black No 8 Kieran Read will play on Wednesday for a Counties-Manukau side in a warm-up game and should get about 40 minutes. He may play for the Crusaders against the Highlanders on July 6 as he returns from a back injury.

Dane Coles may come back into the reckoning in the back end of the Rugby Championship while prop Kane Hames is back training. Brodie Retallick may feature in the Super Rugby playoffs.

Hansen was full of praise for  the roofed stadium and said it would be great to have one in Christchurch.

"Scott Robertson came into the changing sheds afterwards and we said it would be great to have one of these up the road," he said.

He said the All Blacks’ game was evolving but it was early days and the side was only just out of the blocks.
