All Black and Highlanders loose forward Liam Squire has inked a two-year deal with Japanese club NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes.

He will join the club later in the year.

Originally from Manawatu, Squire headed South in 2016 to  join the Highlanders after two seasons with the Chiefs with a reputation as a bruising defender and hard running attacker.

He represented the Maori All Blacks in 2013 against Canada and after some outstanding Super Rugby form he made his All Black debut in June 2016 coming off the bench against Wales, replacing Highlanders teammate Elliot Dixon.
