It sounds like an encounter in one of those Hollywood fantasy films. But it is simply the curtain-raiser for a Super Rugby match at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

The Bravehearts will take on the Wolf Pack under the roof tonight.

The Wolf Pack is the name given to the Japan A squad, which has been in the country for the past couple of weeks.

It played against the Hurricanes Hunters - what is it with these names? - and the Wellington-based side won the match in Porirua last Friday 52-31.

The Japan A squad includes some interesting names. Hooker Shota Horie, who played for Otago in 2012, will line up in the front row, while on the openside flank is Pieter Lappies, also known as Lappies Labuschagne. Lappies used to play for the Cheetahs and is a quick openside flanker. Winger Aki Yamada spent a year playing for Otago University a few years ago and has played Super Rugby for the Sunwolves.

The Highlanders Brave-
hearts are full of players who have turned out for the Highlanders this year. They will be captained by openside flanker Dillon Hunt and Northland winger Jordan Hyland is on the wing.

With Waisake Naholo and Tevita Nabura out injured, Hyland could be a chance to join the squad.
