Former All Black hooker Andrew Hore may come out of retirement and play one last game for Otago on Friday.

Hore has been called into the squad for this Friday's championships final against North Harbour on Friday night.

With Liam Coltman on All Black duty and starting hooker Sam Anderson-Heather fighting a calf complaint, the hooking cupboard was bare for Otago.

Sekonaia Pole was the only hooker left so coach Cory Brown has whistled up Hore.

Hore (38) retired from first-class rugby at the end of the 2013 season but has been playing for his Maniototo club side in the Central Otago club competition.
