Spirit, Tasman to clash

The Otago Spirit will take on Tasman in the Farah Palmer Cup championship semifinal this weekend.

The Spirit had the weekend off after going through the championship round unbeaten and finishing top of the table.

It would now take on Tasman this weekend after the Tasman side caused something of an upset, beating North Harbour 25-19 in the quarterfinal in Auckland on Saturday.

The game will be played at Forsyth Barr Stadium, though when it still undecided.

Hawke's Bay and Northland will clash in the other semifinal.

Otago would host the final should it win the semifinal.
