Rugby: Highlanders coach sticks with winning XV

Stability equals success - that is the idea, anyway.

Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph has kept faith with his starting XV for Sunday's game against the Lions in Johannesburg.

He has naturally opted to reward the players who performed so well in the convincing win over the Sharks, and has had the luxury of doing so thanks to an absence of injuries.

The rejigged bench features the return of South African prop Ross Geldenhuys, who has recovered from a broken thumb and will relish the prospect of locking horns with his countrymen. He replaces Pingi Tala'apitaga.

John Hardie also returns from injury for his fourth game of the season. Like Geldenhuys, he last played against the Waratahs in the fifth round.

Joe Latta drops out of the playing 23 and Elliot Dixon is expected to cover lock.

The Lions have not named their team yet.
