New Zealand is in a four-way race to host the seventh women's Rugby World Cup in 2014.
The International Rugby Board (IRB) today confirmed New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Samoa and the United States had all submitted interest to host the tournament before the October 30 deadline.
The IRB said the level of interest was unprecedented, reflecting the growth in the women's game internationally.
The previous hosts of the women's Rugby World Cup are Wales (1991), Scotland (1994), the Netherlands (1998), Spain (2002) and Canada (2006) while England will host next year's tournament.
