Old Boys, Maheno and Athletic Marist romped to dominant victories in North Otago premier club rugby today.

The most seismic result was at Kurow, where the second-placed home side was thumped 43-12 by Maheno.

Old Boys scored heavily in patches to deal Valley a 69-19 hiding, while Athletic Marist hammered Excelsior 76-12 to complete the most one-sided round of the season.

Old Boys has extended its lead to nine points at the top of the table, its only loss coming from a default earlier in the year.

Kurow remains second but is now just six points clear of Maheno, while Athletic Marist holds the final semifinal spot, six points ahead of Valley.
