Wing David Raikuna is the latest Blues player to be ruled out for the season after x-rays confirmed he has a broken leg.

Raikuna fractured the left mid fibula fracture in his left leg during the North v South match in Dunedin on June 10 and has been ruled out for between six and eight weeks.

Coach Pat Lam now has 11 of his players ruled out for the rest of the season through injury, as well as suspended lock Filo Paulo.

The other injured players are Anthony Boric, Jerome Kaino, Isaia Toeava, Brad Mika, Benson Stanley, Gareth Anscombe, Ali Williams and wider training group members Sean Polwart, Dan Pryor, Wayne Ngaluafe.

George Moala is recovering from a cut hand and could provide cover for Raikuna.
