OBs pair in NZ training squad

Two Otago Boys' High School First XV players have been named in a New Zealand schools training squad for a three-day camp later in the month.

Hooker Abraham Pole and flanker Taine Te Whata have been selected for the squad, which consists of 49 players from 24 schools.

National schools Top Four winner Hastings Boys' High School has nine players in the squad.

There are nine players from the South Island. Fullback Kaleb Talamahina, of Southland Boys' High School, was also selected.

A New Zealand team and a New Zealand Barbarians team will be named for games to be played next month in New Zealand and Australia.

The New Zealand team is coached by Hurricanes assistant coach Jason Holland, while the New Zealand Barbarians team will be coached by Crusaders assistant coach Brad Mooar.
