Otago Girls’ wins close tussle

Referee Eden Brown keeps an eye on a scrum in the final of the Dunedin secondary schools grade final between Otago Girls’ High School and St Hilda’s Collegiate at Logan Park on Wednesday.

In very closely fought match, Otago Girls’ led 44-38 with time nearly up, but St Hilda’s scored a try right at the end to give it a chance to win.

However, the conversion missed and Otago Girls’ won 44-43. St Hilda’s had won the competition since 2011.
