Counties-Manukau has won the men's and women's double at the national sevens tournament in Rotorua.
The women shot out to an early lead in the final, thanks to flyer Portia Woodman. It then had to withstand a comeback from Manawatu to win 24-17.
In the men's final Counties-Manukau went down 7-0 to Waikato, but were able to come back and win 14-7 in a nail biter.
Otago had a tough weekend. The women's side finished eighth after losing their quarterfinal 24-7 to Counties-Manukau. Meanwhile the men finished 13th, dropping its first two pool games before bouncing back with wins over South Canterbury and Southland in its final two games of day two.
