But the Otago Spirit captain knows they have a big game in front of them against the Northland Kauri in the Farah Palmer Cup Championship final on Sunday.
The Spirit have won all six games this season, including a 31-22 victory over North Harbour in last week’s semifinal, to earn the right to host the final at Tahuna Park.
"It was a goal all year to make it back to the Championship final," Muir said.
"We went through the season unbeaten, so it’s been a pretty awesome year so far. Hopefully, we can top it off this weekend."
The Spirit’s expansive game to keep the ball in hand and swing it to the edges has worked perfectly this season.
It has given the players plenty to smile about after scoring 46 tries and Muir credited their coaching team with giving them the freedom to attack the game.
Winger Jamie Church leads the Spirit’s try tally with eight, followed closely by hard-nosed flanker Sarah Jones (seven), midfielder Naomi Sopoaga (six) and halfback Abigail Paton (five).
"Our coaches have given us a game plan, but then said we can just play footy which is exciting," Muir, who has scored three tries and set up countless others, said.
"Some coaches don’t let you do that, so we’ve been grateful that we’ve been allowed to do that.
"We’ve scored some awesome tries and it’s been so much fun."
The hard grind through the preseason in getting the Spirit players the fittest they have been has paid off too and has been crucial through the back end of the season where "other teams can’t really keep up".
The Spirit will host the final at Tahuna Park, as Forsyth Barr Stadium was already booked for monster trucks.
Muir is rapt to have the home advantage — "that is actually really special" — and playing at the smaller ground would provide a "community vibe".
"Hopefully, we get a good crowd and can take it home."
Northland will be doing everything they can to walk away with the title.
The Spirit notched a strong 48-15 win over Northland, who were relegated from the Premiership, earlier this season.
They are known for their big forward pack, anchored by former Black Fern Krystal Murray, but the Spirit will keep running all day.
"Obviously their game plan is slightly different to ours. We don’t have the big girls up front," Muir said.
"But we’ll just try and run them around like we have been every other team and play some expansive footy and hopefully get out on top."
