Zenith swimmer Stefannie Gillespie has had a strong start to 2019.
She claimed two medals in the open women's category of the weekend's national open water swimming championships at Lake Taupo.
Her first came in the 10km race, when she finished third in 2hr 19min 53sec.
That placed her a minute and a-half ahead of fourth-placed Maiana Flament, of Vanuatu, and more than six minutes clear of her nearest Kiwi threat, Emily Spear.
The title was won by Charlotte Webby in 2hr 12min 17sec, and Ashleigh Allred followed in 2hr 12min 26sec.
In the 5km race Gillespie claimed silver in 1hr 07min 27sec, just under three minutes behind the winner Allred.
