The body of a woman found in a stream in Hillmorton on Thursday evening is believed to be that of a missing Christchurch woman.
Christine Barton, 63, has been missing since October 7.
Police say a formal identification process is ongoing.
The death is not thought to be suspicious and will be referred to the coroner.
