A 16-year-old girl missing from her home in Christchurch since Sunday has been found "safe and well".

Hazel had been missing from her Upper Riccarton home since Sunday and police made an appeal yesterday for help to get her home safely.

A police spokesperson said this morning Hazel had been found safely.

Meanwhile, police are appealing for any sightings of a missing 12-year-old boy in Ashburton.

Egeliko was last seen by his family at his home in the Hampstead area of Ashburton about 9pm on Monday.

Police and his family have concerns for his safety, a spokesperson said.

Anyone who has information about Egeliko's whereabouts should phone police on 105 and quote file number 220607/6631.
