A person had to pulled from the Avon River after a two car crash near the Avondale bridge on Saturday night.
A police spokesperson said it appears two vehicles crashed about 9.45pm, with one going into the river and the second crashing into a fence near the bridge at the corner of New Brighton and Avondale Rds.
One person was pulled from the vehicle which was in the river.
