The family of a 15-year-old Christchurch girl who failed to arrive at school four days ago have serious concerns for her safety and well-being.

The teenager, who police named as Jaeda, was reported missing when she never arrived at school after leaving friend's house on Friday.

“Jaeda is known to frequent the central city bus exchange,” a police spokesperson said on Monday.

"Police and Jaeda’s family have serious concerns for her safety and well-being."

If you have seen Jaeda, or have information that might help police locate her, phone 105 and quote file number 220520/2418.
