Police have found the body of a man reported missing in Canterbury earlier this month.

Sam Brown, 41, who was reported missing from Rangiora on February 3, has been found deceased, police said on Friday.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the Coroner," a police spokesperson said.

"Police extend their sympathies to his family and friends at this difficult time."
