Investigation into suspicious vehicle fire in Rangiora

A ute is believed to have been deliberately set on fire in Rangiora in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the fire on Ashley St about 6.45am.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said the vehicle blaze was well involved when firefighters arrived at the scene.

The spokesperson said the fire is being treated as suspicious, and police and Fire and Emergency NZ will investigate.
