Man killed after crash between truck and train named

The man who died after a crash involving a truck and a train north of Christchurch on Monday has been named.

He was Adam Bisseker, 31, of Flaxton.

Emergency services were called to the "serious crash" about 7.30am on Mulcocks Rd in Flaxton, Waimakariri.

Police said they are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.

St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said 96 train passengers were assessed at the scene but none of them were injured. 

The Mulcocks Rd train crossing has flashing light signals but does not have barrier arms.
