Driver trapped after crashing into power pole

A driver was trapped in a vehicle after crashing into a power pole in the Selwyn district on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Bealey Rd between Haldon and Derretts Rds in Hororata about 1.10pm.

A police spokesman said reports indicated a car had crashed into a power pole, trapping the driver.

Two fire crews from Kirwee and Hororata were sent to the scene.
