Person dead after tractor rolls

One person has died after a tractor rolled at a property in South Canterbury.

Police said they received the report from Waimate about 5.15pm on Sunday.

WorkSafe had been advised and the death had been referred to the Coroner.

The incident happened on Timaru Rd between Deep Creek Rd and Champions Rd.

A St John spokeswoman said a helicopter and an ambulance had been sent to the incident. She referred all further comment to police.
