A police spokeswoman said they were notified of a rolled car in Ardgowan Rd, between Homestead and Redcastle Rds, about 6.30pm.
Police confirmed late last night the two people died at the scene.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand and St John also attended.
The road was closed at both ends.
No other details were available last night.
