Grab your girlfriend, mum or daughters and enjoy a day out at one of Canterbury’s largest events - the Women’s Lifestyle Expo.

Pegged as the perfect girls’ day out, the Women’s Lifestyle Expo brings together around 180 companies under one roof for one weekend.

The show aims to include as wide of a range of companies as possible, so the expo is a great day out no matter what your individual interests are.

Women are all different and their interests are so diverse so while one woman may be interested in gourmet food the woman beside her may be more interested in shopping for a new car, checking out the fashion sites or discovering holistic wellness options.

Said NZME event director Renee Murray: “It’s been a hard year for events but also incredible seeing our communities coming together to support local.

“We are so pleased that we’re able to hold events that provide an opportunity to Kiwi businesses and local Christchurch companies to get their brand out there in front of thousands of women. It’s a great chance for the people of Christchurch to support our local businesses after what has been a deeply challenging time for many.”

If you have never been before, you are in for a treat, but you do need a few hours up your sleeve.

This multi-generations expo is an all-encompassing haven, where you can find exhibitors offering everything from the essentials, to luxuries and indulgences. It’s great to see all the various women visit the show, from teenagers and young women, to mothers and grandmothers, and friends simply enjoying each other’s company.

From sampling gourmet food and beverages, to buying new winter shoes, checking out the latest in eco-friendly products, learning about new businesses, purchasing cosmetics and skincare, browsing for a new car and so much more there is a lot to see under one roof.

Come meet the makers of beautiful things in the expo artisan craft zone where over 25 companies will showcase their original products often not found in shops including art, handmade soaps & beauty products, baby gifts, home decor, jewellery, fashion accessories and more.

The show also includes a mini food show with over 30 companies sampling and selling their products in the taste zone. Appreciating that shopping, tasting, trying and testing can be hard work, the expo taste zone will be on hand to offer pick-me-ups, tasty treats and bites to keep you going.

With everything from wine, cider, culinary oils, meat rubs and spices, craft liquors, boutique condiments, sweet treats and much more this zone is always a popular area of the show. Try samples from the various companies and take home what you love.
