Car crashes into house in Invercargill

A car has crashed through a fence and into a house in Invercargill this afternoon.

A police spokeswoman said the crash happened just before 3pm this afternoon on Bourke St, Windsor.

Emergency services were on the way to the scene as of about 3.10pm.

A reporter at the scene said it appeared an older woman crashed through the fence while attempting to enter her driveway.

The fence was badly damaged but there was no visible damage to the house.

A St John spokesman said they were notified at 2.55pm, sent one ambulance, and treated one person at the scene for minor injuries.
