Non-stop from Milford to Mt Cook: Marathon fundraising effort

Ultra-marathon runner Glenn Sutton is a bit nervous but keen to get started on his latest running challenge - 580km non-stop from Milford Sound to Mt Cook.

"It’s getting a bit real," Sutton (47) said yesterday from Queenstown as he prepared for his gruelling four-day run due to start at the waters of Milford Sound at 7.30am today.

For the first time on one of his long-distance runs, he is raising money for charity online.

He has already gained more than $3000 of $20,000 he wants to give to the Otago Community Hospice.
