Teens offer reassuring advice during tough time

Students at a Christchurch college have a few reassuring words of wisdom for anyone worried about the Covid-19 lockdown.

The St Bede's College Prefect group has reached out to all Cantabrians and Kiwis as we prepare for the unprecedented lockdown which begins at 11.59pm tonight.

Group member, Angus, said they made the video to help people "keep positive and active through this time".

"On behalf of the Prefect group I would just like to say that this lockdown is a bit of a pain for everyone and even more so our parents," he said.

"However, make sure you keep positive and active through this time.

"In particular enjoy spending some quality time with family, which doesn't always happen in our busy everyday lives.

"We look forward to seeing you all . . . when all of this blows over and we wish you and your families all the best in this interesting time."
