Ashburton College basketballers Sophie Adams and Riley Sa have been named in Canterbury's top secondary school team squads to play in a curtain-raiser before the New Zealand Breakers host South East Melbourne in Christchurch.
The game is on at Horncastle Arena, on December 20.
The Canterbury High School All Star boys and girls' teams will play before the Breakers with the girls game at 2.10pm, followed by the boys at 3.50pm.
The high school games come after a great McDonald's Thompson and Whelan Trophy season. Canterbury teams also performed well at nationals, with Cashmere High School finishing fourth in the top boys' division and Christchurch Girls' High School finishing eighth in the top girls' division.
It will be the first time the Breakers have played in Christchurch since 2004.
