New Dunedin theatre company Dollhouse launches its 2022 season this month with a surreal comedy.

The show, Matt & Ben, written by Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers, will be staged at the New Athenaeum Theatre from tonight until Saturday, at 7pm, plus a 2pm matinee on Saturday.

Directed by Ryan Hartigan and featuring Jordan Wichman and Nicole Jenkins, Matt & Ben depicts Hollywood golden boys Matt Damon and Ben Affleck before they became famous.

When the screenplay for Good Will Hunting drops mysteriously from the heavens, the boys realise they are being tested by a higher power.
