Fresh from the success of its recent 10-day book sale, the Regent Theatre is "clearing the decks" with the Giant $1 Book Sale this weekend.

Regent Book Sale co-ordinator Alison Cunningham said there were still "literally hundreds of cartons of books" that never even made it out of the store, which would be offered during the $1 sale at the theatre tomorrow and Saturday.

"The vast bulk of what is on offer have never gone out before — it is not just what was left over from the last sale," she said.

"It’s time to clear the decks."

Along with thousands of books, the Giant $1 Sale will also feature DVDs, CDs, vinyl, toys, magazines and more.

"We will also be offering a special last chance saloon sale table, and if those books don’t sell they they will have to go," Mrs Cunningham said.

While everything in the sale will cost $1 or less, book sale volunteers will also be keen to do deals for bulk purchases, she said.

"So, come along and make us an offer."

  • The Giant $1 Book Sale will run from 10am to 5pm tomorrow and Saturday.
  • No bookings needed.
  • Eftpos available, bring your own bags, and masks are strongly encouraged.
