Barbara Frew

Your ceremony is the most important part of your wedding day.
As a registered marriage celebrant I take great pride and pleasure in guiding and directing couples through this.
I have been registered since 2012, the same year I completed my Certificate in Celebrant Studies. Along with my caring and out-going personality, this enables me to give couples the high quality service you all deserve. Everyone is unique just as your situation and love is unique.
I enjoy taking the time getting to know you and your background, through email, phone, and of course meetings. Along with your own ideas, I have resources I am happy to share.
This enables me to create a ceremony that you and your loved ones can enjoy, reflecting who you both are. Guiding you through the legalities required by Births, Deaths, and Marriages is part of my service. I encourage a rehearsal of your ceremony; this helps it to flow well, giving everyone more confidence to enjoy the real thing!
Presenting a ceremony that can be heard is very important. I have my own sound system which is included in my fee. My total fee varies, depending on the travel necessary. I am happy to confirm this on your asking.
Being an active member of the Celebrants Association of New Zealand keeps me up-to-date with changing legal requirements and my own professional development.
I am happy to advise you on other areas of your wedding day and enjoy working with everyone involved to make your day a dream come true!
I service the Southland and Otago areas, but do travel farther afield. I conduct baby naming, housewarming, and other ceremonies on request.
