Ashleigh Morgan, of Kaitangata, washes manure from sheep yards at Balclutha Saleyards.

When she was offered the job, it was described as "playing with water".

To be more precise, she cleans manure from the yards the days after sheep and cattle sales.

"It is pretty cruisy and satisfying work".

However, sunny days could make the job harder.

"It sucks on hot days because it takes ages," she said.

The heat made the manure stick to the concrete. Before the wash-down begins, a gun sprinkler irrigates the yards to soften the manure, which makes it easier to wash away.
