Traffic clears on Northern Motorway after tanker crash

    Traffic was backed up on the Northern Motorway after a crash involving a milk tanker and car.

    Two fire crews, ambulance and police attended the scene southbound of the motorway heading to the Waimakariri Bridge at about 11am.

    A Fire and Emergency spokesman said no one was trapped in the vehicles. 

    The site was cleared at about 1pm.
