
In his rookie season this year, the 20-year-old from Lincoln finished fifth in the championship, with eight podium finishes and victory at the Indianapolis grand prix.
Douglas will compete in the championship next year, which serves as a step on the road to his eventual goal of racing in Indycar.
The Pro 2000 champion earns sponsorship that allows them to advance to Indy NXT, the competition directly below Indycar.
Pabst Racing is based in Wisconsin. Douglas completed the season by finishing third at the Portland International Raceway last month.
He then had six sessions of testing on the Indianapolis Grand Prix circuit two weeks ago, where he set the second-fastest lap in the sixth session.
The new Pro 2000 season starts with testing in Florida from February 16-19 before the first two rounds in Arlington, Texas, from March 13-15.
