New Zealand-raised actress Anna Paquin says she faces a lot of "prejudice" because she's bisexual.

Paquin, 28, who is married to her True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer, has previously revealed she is attracted to both men and women.

"There is a lot of prejudice against us but the more people talk about it, the less of a deal it will be. Who people choose to sleep with or spend their lives with shouldn't matter, not that anyone particularly cares who I'm attracted to," she told V Magazine.

She said the more people who came out as bisexual, the less judgmental people would become.

Born in Canada, Paquin was raised in Lower Hutt. She won an Oscar in 1994 at the age of 11 for best supporting actress in The Piano.
