Brockville Garden Club meets at the Community Church Hall, 1pm, to visit Joy Horton, who will talk about and demonstrate bonsai. Afternoon tea and raffles.

Friday, April 4
HortTalk: Information Centre, lower garden, Dunedin Botanic Garden, midday. Speaker Dr Geoff Rogers, research associate, Department of Conservation on ''How did we get here? ... New Zealand's flora''. Isolation, tectonic upheaval, and big birds have helped shape New Zealand's flora.

Saturday, April 5
Otago Lily Society meeting, 2pm at Maori Hill Community Centre. Russell Bailey, a top lily grower and exhibitor will speak on ''Living with Kidney Disease'' and will have a limited number of his lily bulbs for sale.

Sunday, April 6
Blueskin Garden Club will be at the Blueskin On Show Day, 10am to 4pm, Bland Park, Waitati. Competitions, sales table and raffles. Vegetable, fruit, preserves, baking and floral competitions. Make your own scarecrow. Teddy Bear competition. Entries to tent 10am-11.30am. Inquiries to 482-2428 or 482-2896.

Monday, April 14
\Otago/Southland Branch NZ Camellia Society meets at St Peter's Church Hall cnr Hillside Rd and Eastbourne St, South Dunedin, 7.30pm. Speaker Clive Wallis on the Shanghai World Expo.
