Summer is nearly here and Elizabeth Arden has a new
fragrance and skincare range that promises to protect your
skin and leave it smelling deliciously sweet and supple to
the touch. Amy Parsons-King takes a look.
• Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Cherry Blossom Fragrance.
I'm not usually one for overly sweet fragrances; I prefer a
scent with rich earthy notes. However, Elizabeth Arden's new
fragrance Green Tea Cherry Blossom instantly appealed, with
its fresh, floral scent.
This perfume is inspired by the ancient Japanese Hanami
Cherry Blossom Festival. The festival celebrates the few
weeks each spring when all of Japan is in bloom with the
enchanting cherry blossom.
Perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux says he wanted to capture the
"majestic and mystifying beauty and grace of the cherry tree
groves". To accomplish this he has used top notes of
bergamot, tangerine and sweet almond, combined with middle
notes of apricot, plum and base notes of white birch, moss
and skin musks.
Eau Parfumée (about $73)
• Elizabeth Arden Honey Drops Body Cream.
To accompany the fragrance, Elizabeth Arden has released a
body cream infused with green tea, cherry blossom and real
drops of honey. It is thick, creamy and decadent (about $52)
• Elizabeth Arden Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand
Treatment.
If there's one thing I cannot stand, it's dry hands. I am
often moisturising mine, as I hate the tight, uncomfortable
feeling you get when your hands lack moisture.
I was delighted when I was sent the Elizabeth Arden Limited
Edition Collection Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising
Hand Treatment, as I have used it before and know how
effective it is.
This product has been specifically designed for hands and
offers up to eight hours of moisturising.
It is quickly absorbed and really does eliminate dryness and
leave the hands feeling silky soft (about $21)
• Elizabeth Arden New Eight Hour Cream Lip
Protectant Gloss.
As well as dry hands, another pet hate I have is dry lips.
They look awful when you want to wear lipstick and they feel
extremely uncomfortable.
Elizabeth Arden has brought out a new Eight Hour Cream Lip
Protectant Gloss, which is enriched with emollients,
protective sunscreen and vitamin E.
For ultra-soft lips this summer, I highly recommend this
product (about $29)
