Two new candidates have emerged for the October local body
elections.
Former Baptist minister Steve O'Connor yesterday announced he
intended to stand for the Dunedin City Council.
Mr O'Connor has worked as office manager for South Dunedin MP
Clare Curran, and has been been involved in community groups
including the Northeast Valley Project and the Northeast
Valley Baptist Community Trust, plus he is chairman of the
Northeast School Board.
Chris Marlow (MBE) is standing as an independent for the
council in the city ward, and for the Southern District
Health Board.
Mr Marlow is a lawyer and business consultant who has served
on various health organisations.
He stood for the South Dunedin ward and the health board in
2004.
