Mr Harland is to take up a position as Southern Regional Director of the NZ Transport Agency.

"After eleven years as Chief Executive the time is right for a career progression," Mr Harland said.

Mr Harland will continue his involvement in the Forsyth Barr Stadium as a member of the Stadium Project Delivery Team "because of the synergy between the stadium, the realignment of SH88 and his knowledge of the project," the DCC statement said.
