Filling in for a colleague

The HMNZS Wellington makes its way up Otago Harbour yesterday morning with Governor-General Sir Anand Satyanand and his wife, Susan, Lady Satyanand, on board, after a mission to the subantarctic islands.

It was the ship's first visit to Dunedin.

Wellington made the unplanned stop to drop off Sir Anand and Lady Satyanand after the vessel they were travelling on - the HMNZS Otago - had an electrical fault in one of its engines and had to return to Auckland for repairs.
