Senior Sergeant Mel Aitken holds up a climbing harness recovered this week when police executed a search warrant at a Dunedin house.
The harness was one of several items recovered. Members of the climbing community had been contacted and said the harness appeared to be unusual, and there were not likely to be many of them round.
If anyone recognised the harness, or knew to whom it belonged, police would be keen to hear from them, Snr Sgt Aitken said.
