Woman in court over Dunedin racist attack

A Dunedin woman was remanded in custody when she appeared in the Dunedin District Court yesterday in relation to an attack with racial overtones on an Asian family in Dunedin on Monday

Charlene Amelia Hunt (22), unemployed, was remanded in custody, by consent, without plea until Thursday on a charge of assault with a weapon.

Two other people also face assault charges.

A bottle was allegedly thrown at the father as the family walked along the street and the man also told police he was punched.
