Dunedin mural artists Filipa Crofskey (left) and Daniel Mead stand in Dunedin's Hoyts Lane by a newly created Otago-themed mural designed by Mangawhai artist Daniel Mills.

The pair helped Mr Mills paint the mural over 10 days. Forming part of the recent Otago Festival of the Arts, the mural portrays the cultures that shaped Otago.

The late writer Janet Frame (pictured) is portrayed as the mural's representative of Scottish culture. Also portrayed (not pictured) are Gabriel Farry (Lebanese community), William Wong (Chinese community), and an unknown Maori woman.
