Forsyth Barr Stadium will become the scene of a pitch
invasion on Sunday as Dunedin residents are invited to use
the field as they would a public park.
"We'll have soccer goals in place from the earlier Otago
United game, so people can bring along a ball and have a kick
or just bring a picnic blanket and camera and enjoy the
view," Dunedin Venues chief executive Darren Burden said.
For this Sunday only, the Stadium Markets will be extended
until 4pm.
Mr Burden said admission to the pitch would be free and
available between 2.30pm and 4pm, following the Otago United
match at noon.
Carparking would be available at the stadium for a gold-coin
donation and access on to the pitch would be through Gate D
in the TicketDirect Stand, he said.
