A Mosgiel house is consumed by flames on Saturday as
firefighters from Mosgiel and Dunedin got the rare chance to
systematically deal with a house fire room by room.
The near-derelict Gladstone Rd South house was offered to the
Mosgiel Volunteer Fire Brigade by its owner, who wanted to
clear the site to build a new house, training session
organiser Mosgiel Station Officer Steven Turnbull said.
It was the first time in six years the brigade had been
provided a house in a rural setting for training purposes.
